The Billings Family and their love of horses...  Gary Billings grew up on the family farm in Montrose Iowa;  they used horses to help with the farming.  Barabra Billings grew also grew up in Iowa; riding the family horse.  Barbara and Gary were married in 1963 and have carried on the horse tradition with their children and grandchildren.  Parents of three, Rodney, Ricky, and Fleeta, they have raised them with the same love for horses.

Barbara reflects back on one story about Rodney when he was only 16-months old and rode their horse Nugget and won youngest rider in the Fort Madison Tri-State Rodeo.  The funny part was that Rodney had to be tied to Nuggets saddle to keep him on!

Rick and Fleeta have also followed the family in their love for horses.  Rick currently drives the family carriage and continues to learn all that he can about his equine friends.

The allure of stagecoaches... For me, Barbara Billings, my love a stagecoaches began in 1955.  I was an eleven year old girl watching Fort Madison's annual Rodeo Parade when I saw my dog hero, Rin Tin Tin, riding on top of a stagecoach.  Then when I saw Gene Autry and his horse, Champion, my love of stagecoaches and horses was confirmed.

In 1991 through the encouragement and help of friends and through the remarkable ability of great coach builders, my dream of owning a stagecoach became a reality.
